Stunning Lake Wanaka Retreat

Great location nice retreat after a days skiing Positive: Comfy and clean, very quiet area with lovely views.

Positive: Very handy location. Clean and tidy. Negative: No paper towels, tissues, provided. The TV kept picking up other signal (prob the front of the house) so couldnt watch TV. Light in the bathroom is very dim, and 1 bedside light was broken.

Positive: The view was STUNNING. Fantastic location a short 5 min drive into town and 40min drive to the ski field car parks. Was very clean. Washing machine was handy. Negative: Tip: Remove the bush/big plant blocking the view and you could charge extra per night as the view would be 100 x better. Would benefit with a change of outside furniture, something a bit more comfy to watch the sunset on.

The view is good but could be improved to be more convenient. Positive: The property is modern and the view is beautiful, when on a clear day. Negative: 1. The access to the property is very inconvenient. The accommodation is a small unit located at the back of the main house, so you have to walk through a very narrow side passage to reach it. The passage is lined with rubbish bins, leaving very little space to get through. It was extremely difficult to carry our suitcases, and the narrow walkway also felt like a tripping hazard. 2. The listing was misleading. When we booked the property, the amenities listed under the kitchen section included a washing machine. However, there was no dishwasher (washing machine) in the kitchen. The only one available was an old washing machine in the bathroom. The listing should describe this more accurately to avoid confusion. 3. No facial tissues were provided. Only toilet paper was supplied. Facial tissues are a standard amenity in most hotels and holiday accommodations, so it was disappointing that none were provided. 4. Insufficient heating. The bedroom has no air conditioning or built-in heating, only a small portable heater. At night, we had to leave the bedroom door open so warm air from the living room air conditioner could reach the room. The bathroom also has no heating or heat lamp, making it very uncomfortable to shower during winter.
